Four types of curing agents commonly used in molding of modified plastics

- Apr 17, 2019-

(1) Organic peroxide-based curing agent. This is a more used type, such as tert-butylperoxy hexane, which has high product strength.

(2) Amine curing agent. It can be cured at room temperature and has a fast curing speed, but it has certain toxicity.

(3) Imidazole curing agent. This is also a very commonly used curing agent. It is mostly used for the curing of EP (epoxy resin). It can be used alone or in combination with other curing agents. The product has excellent mechanical properties and high heat distortion temperature. The curing agent has low volatility and low toxicity.

(4) An acid anhydride curing agent. For example, phthalic anhydride, when it cures, has low heat generation and is inexpensive, and is mostly used for curing of EP. The mechanical properties and electrical properties of the modified plastic products are excellent.
